For the Shrimp:
- 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon lemon zest optional for extra citrus flavor
For Serving:
- 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti cooked al dente
- Grated Parmesan cheese optional
Prep the Shrimp:
Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel and season with salt and black pepper.
Cook pasta according to package instructions, if serving with pasta.
Sauté the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
