Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for spice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest optional for extra citrus flavor

For Serving:

  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti cooked al dente
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions
 

Prep the Shrimp:

  • Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions, if serving with pasta.

Sauté the Shrimp:

  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, reducing slightly.
  • Stir in lemon juice and zest for a bright citrusy flavor.

Combine & Finish:

  • Return the cooked shrimp to the pan and toss in the sauce.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and cook for 1 more minute.

Serve & Enjoy:

  • Serve over cooked linguine, spaghetti, or rice.
  • Garnish with grated Parmesan (optional) and extra parsley.
